Skategoat

A story from the streets told by the streets and a gritty take on what it means to make it in the skating world, Skategoat is based on the life of young Venice Beach skater Leandre Sanders. Over ten years, filmmaker Van Alpert documents Leandre's struggle to perfect his skateboarding and to survive sleeping rough on the streets of Los Angeles. The film has won an Audience Choice Award for Best Australian Documentary at the Sydney Film Festival.
