On Running: Black Ice
Production Company: Hungry Man (UK)
Heckler

Responsible for Post Production and Sound, Heckler collaborated with Hungry man and Award-winning Australian filmmaker Richard Bullock, to produce ‘Black Ice’ for Swiss sport brand On Running. Andrew Holmes, Heckler, was the Lead Editor on this project, responsible for piecing together the vision to create this powerful short film.

Released in January 2022 in the wake of the Winter Olympics, Black Ice is the inspiring story of Ghanian Akwasi Frimpong, Africa’s first Olympic Skeleton racer. The film was written and directed by Bullock, and tells the story of Akwasi, who from humble beginnings becomes a formidable athlete with ambitions to participate in the Olympics. Ultimately he contracts Covid and is unable to partake but his story is one of resilience, courage and the strength of the human spirit.
